On Friday 20th May adam staff completed their charity cycle, riding 54 miles from London to Brighton to fundraise for the Brain and Spine Foundation.
Brogan Archer, Nick Pearson, Ben Cater, Mike Thornley, Amber Quinn and Louise Wheeler began in Clapham Common, London and finished on the beach in Brighton at 7.30pm.
The team were also supported by our home riders David Richardson and Emma Simms who have been cycling on exercise bikes to match the 54miles. And well done to James Redgate who completed 100 miles cycling throughout the week.
So far, the team have managed to raise £3114 for the Brain and Spine Foundation with the Access Group matching this total and exceeding their original goal of £5000! Congratulations to all our riders who completed the challenge and a big shout out to those who participated on the day in the rain and making it up that final steep hill!
Sales Development Manager, Brogan Archer, who organised the event with the adam Charity Champions, said “I’m delighted to say we managed to complete the cycle from London to Brighton and I am so proud of the team for not only finishing it but keeping spirits high despite the very terrible wet weather! I’d like to thank everyone who’s donated or supported us as we have managed to raise over £5000 for the Brain and Spine Foundation which will go towards helping individuals who suffer with neurological conditions. Thank you all for making this a success and hopefully this is just the start of more charitable events to come here at adam. “
There is still time to donate to our fundraising page here.
The Brain & Spine Foundation is the only UK-wide charity providing information and support for every one of the 470+ neurological disorders which affect 1 in 6 people in the UK. Their expert services are there for people at every stage, from first symptoms, diagnosis, treatments and in the long term.
